AV 2021 Bordeaux Rosé
50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. This is a light and elegant rose with the right amount of acidity to cleanse the palate after a plate of BBQ. Even though this Rose hails from the Bordeaux region, the decision was made for the production style to reflect the Provence region. The grapes have undergone the “Pressurage Direct” method instead of “Saignee Method” which bleeds the grapes allowing for maceration and juice to skin contact for three to four days producing a very fruit forward wine. Whereas, Pressurage Direct squeezes the Bordeaux grapes allowing for a shorter juice to skin contact time of two to three hours and then moved straight into stainless steel vats. This Rose-Vins De Pays De L’Atlantique has a slight glycerol weight that is easy seen on the glass and feel on the palate which is not usually seen in a Rose wine. Aromas of spun sugar tricks the mind leading one to believe that it will be sweet but to the contrary it is light and elegant with a bright cherry finish.
Food Pairing: Bordeaux Rosé has a well-balanced acidity, making it very versatile for food pairing. It loves Tapas, Grilled Vegetables, Charcuterie, and Mediterranean Seafood. It also loves roasted meats such as chicken and turkey as well as BBQ and all types of Spicy Food
